Venture capital companies represent funds that invest in prospective business ideas for a substantial profit. There is a whole range of venture capital companies out there just waiting for a good business plan to finance. The reality though, is that very few ideas actually get financed, unless you present something unique, which has huge profit generating potential.

The advantage of this type of finance is that should the business owner have an original idea with huge profit potential that a venture company latches onto, then they could effectively get all the finance they need for the venture. If the entrepreneurs are lucky enough to get finance from a venture capital company, they may find that the company wants equity as well as a large profit share.
